Hello
We will be in Delft this July and could use some ideas on a hotel for 2 nights.
and possibly a day trip to the beach at Scheveningen, so trains near by would help.

I don’t think there’s a train to Scheveningen. An easy way from Delft to Scheveningen is to take the #1 tram from Delft all the way through The Hague to the beach at Scheveningen. Otherwise train from Delft to The Hague and then the tram. But I’d take the tram the whole way as it’s so easy. It only takes about 40 minutes. Everything is so close.

I've lived in Delft, and if we wanted to go to the beach we indeed just hopped on the #1 tram. Regarding hotels: Look for something in the old town. All of the old town is easily walkable from the railway station.

Last March I stayed at Hotel Grand Canal. It was walk-able to everything I wanted to see including the train station.
