Hiring a guide/driver for day trips out of Amsterdam next May

Does anyone have a recommendation of a guide/driver for an elderly couple visiting Amsterdam? We would like day and half day tours of the countryside. We are mobile but can't ride bikes or walk long distances.
Thanks, Susan

Susan, Mark Law of ThatDamGuide has a countryside tour. You might email or call him in regards to your needs. If his company can't arrange what you need he might know who to put you in touch with.

Instead of (or in addition to) a guide or driver, you might try the Waterlands bus. This is a public bus that you can catch from a platform behind the train station, which has circular routes throughout the Netherlands countryside. There are several routes, but the one we chose took us first to Edam and seemed to have buses at each stop every hour or so.

We got off in Edam, wandered around the town (it's small and easy to walk). Then we went back to the bus stop and caught a bus to Volendam, where we had lunch along the scenic harbor. Then we took a ferry (which had an extra fee) to Marken, where we saw the wooden shoe factory. Then we caught a bus back to Amsterdam. It was a fun, spectacular day and the cost was just 10 euros per person for the day (plus the ferry).
