Hi,
I have been to Europe many times but have never made it to Amsterdam! So with good use of airline miles, I could not resist going this year. We have 6 days on the ground in the Netherlands. On day seven, we will either fly or take the Eurostar to London to then fly out to Guernsey (channel Isle) for some relaxation!
We have booked the hotel Fita in Amsterdam for three nights (to include the day we land). Our interest are museums and windmills. Should I stick with just visiting other areas in the Netherlands or venture to Ghent and Brugge in Belgium to get to the Eurostar? I was thinking perhaps a night in Delft and in visiting the windmills at kinderdijk. Any suggestions on the last part of my itinerary would be appreciated. I don't want to make this vacation too fast paced. (BTW - I could also get the ferry to Harwich and be picked up by family members). I just don't know the Netherlands very well.
Thanks
Margaret
