Hello,
I will need a Hostel near the center of things, within a reasonable distance from the train station (I'll be traveling to Berlin after Amsterdam)
Any hints or anything useful I need to know? Name of a Hostel would help!

Stayokay is the Netherlands' hostel association affiliated with Hosteling International. This might work for you.

The Stayok isn't available for my dates (June 11-13)

OP, what website are you using? I've done dummy bookings through the Stayokay website and all three Amsterdam hostels show availability.
