I’ve read there are three GVB ferries that run from Centraal Station on the North Sea Canal (Noordzeekanaal). Would these provide a different sense (perspective) of Amsterdam or is the foreground dominated by industry and commercial warehouses, cranes and commercial vessels? How far out from Centraal Station do these ferries go and what is the total trip time (one way)?
The one that goes the shortest way directly across is to a repurposed industrial area that is Amsterdam's "Brooklyn". It is just a few minute's crossing.
