Guides for Rijksmuseum (and other questions)

We are two senior citizens (70) who will be in Amsterdam for just a few days in June; we want to go to the Rijksmuseum and would prefer to:

  1. Skip the line (we can buy tickets on-line or if we can find an inclusive tour, we will get tickets from the tour company).

  2. Either be part of a small tour or, if it's feasible, have a private guide.

We are searching all the various sites; it is extremely confusing.

Any help/assistance is greatly appreciated.

Suzie,

You most certainly can buy your tickets online. That's what I did last Summer and it worked great. Also, the museum is very close to the Albert Cuyp market which I did afterwards. Took a bike taxi there, and is fun and only 10 Euros.

The audio guide at the museum is also woth getting for the extra few Euros. Incredible collection of art masterpieces. Have a great time!
