guided bike tours from amsterdam

Hi again:

I will be in Amsterdam for a week in September with my 28 year old daughter. We are interested in at least one day trip outside of Amsterdam into the countryside on a guided bike tour. Wondered if anyone could recommend a good company for this. I see viatour offers some and there are some bike companies online as well. I would love ot hear from people w ho have done them and would recommend them rather than booking blind.
Thanks. Janet

Search online or this forum for Wetlands Safari Amsterdam. The guide for the Wetlands Safari has just added a biking tour to compliment her activities. My husband and I enjoyed the Wetlands tour. Perhaps you and your daughter would enjoy both. PM me if you need her name, etc.

This rental place https://www.macbike.nl/bike-tours/guided-tours/ is located right behind the central train station and is only a few yards from the bike ferry across the river, from which you can explore the flat poulder country all the way to Marken, Volendam, and beyond. They offer guided tours as well.
They also sell an excellent map of the bike paths and trails in and around the city - costs about 2 Euro as I recall. Armed with that, and a pair of padded cycling shorts (trust me on this) you'll be good to go for a day in the saddle.
