We have just returned from Amsterdam and on the advice of several posters here, we stayed at The Hotel Estherea. It was WONDERFUL! The staff, the breakfast buffet, decor, location and rooms were the best! We were in a lovely large room with a little sitting area and were quite comfortable. There are several rooms directly off the lobby with comfortable chairs, etc.
for guests. There is one room with a coffee and tea machine, cold flavored waters, and delicious pastry and cookies, as well as hard candies, another room with seating for a small meeting or maybe a snack, and another for sitting.
The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and places to see and visit, and their restaurant recommendations were perfect.
We felt that the hotel is in a great location and it's easy to walk from there to the train station, museums, zoo, flower market, etc.
The only complaint we all had is that we weren't able to spend more time there!
We stayed there a year ago and absolutely loved it too! We were there for 5 nights I think it was, so really got to enjoy it. They really do think of everything there. I agree, their suggestions were spot on for us as well. That is how I found out about the cruise with Jack.
