Only in Amsterdam for one full day. I was there, also only for one full day :( , in 1989. Had a great meal at a rice table restaurant and would love a recommendation for one. Also many folks here noted the need for cash in many restaurants in Amsterdam, so if you could note that also, that would be great!

We LOVED Puri Mas at Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 37-41. We have recommended to others that enjoyed it. The food was good and the staff was very attentive.

A second for Puri Mas. Its not central necessarily - its in the Leidseplein area (closer to the Rijksmuseum than Central station), but easy to get to

Go with Blauw or Saba Sebo.
Most restaurants take credit cards. We had no problem when visiting last month
