Good Italian Restaurants in Joordan and other areas?

Ciro Passami l'Olio located at Tweedehelmersstradt 3. It's not in the Jordaan - it's closer to Leidseplein and Vondelpark. It's fairly small, and gets very busy during prime dining hours, so if you go, make a reservation in advance either online or have your hotel call them to book a table for you.

Incanto is Classic Italian at Amstel 2 in the Rokin Canal area, about a 20 minute walk from Jordaan area. I was there in May and experienced excellent food (beef) and service. The 2nd floor window view of the canals and traffic was spectacular. I found it through Tripadvisor. Wine list is extensive. This was my best meal over my 8 days in Amsterdam. You will need reservations. I got mine the day before.
