Hello,
I was wondering the best way to get from the airport to my air bnb. It's near Westerpark on Joan Melchior Kemperstraat. Taxis look to be expensive. I figured Uber might be a good option.
It's about a 1.7 mile walk from Sloterdijk station (the stop before Centraal coming from the airport). You can shorten that walk with a bus/tram combinations. Conversely, you can walk and bus combinations from Centraal Station, with a bit over 1/2 mile of walking.
You can play with these on Google maps, or rome2rio.com, both will give you details on the method, and rome2rio will give approximate prices.
You may find that uber is cheaper - or not - but you should be aware that they have been banned in Amsterdam, the offices have been raided multiple times, and they have been found ignoring the banning order.
It may work for you on the day you want it. or possibly not....
Use 9292 for transportation in the Netherlands.
For example, to your street (but no number), just over half an hour, with a train, walk, bus, walk for just over €5.
Have a look at http://9292.nl/en/journeyadvice/station-schiphol-airport/amsterdam_joan-melchior-kemperstraat/departure/2016-08-24T1022
Thank you for the info!
