Hello,
We'll be visiting Holland in May '17, with a home base in Haarlem. We'd like to spend a day (or day & night) in Geithoorn. Getting there looks challenging. We'd prefer to use public transportation, but it looks like a rental car the most efficient way to get there. Does anyone have advice for us?

It's possible to get from Haarlem to Geithoorn by public transportation, with a few transfers with a journey time of about 2 1/2 hours. You can find the details of your trip and search for schedules here: http://9292.nl/en. A rental car is of course more direct and convenient and takes less time. If you haven't already, you can search up prices on Autoeurope.com to compare the cost of driving versus taking the train.

When you check the very helpful website 9292.nl/en. , make sure you use the proper town name . It is GIEThoorn , not Geithoorn.
