I've seen this old post, but am looking for new information. Has anyone taken the Gate1 cruise from Amsterdam with the additional time in Amsterdam. Trying to get a sense of when the Amsterdam City Tour returns to hotel so I can plan later activities, including getting tickets for Anne Frank. Thanks

I haven't done this, but I will be on a Gate 1 River Cruise that ends in Amsterdam next month. I took a moment and looked up your itinerary on the Gate 1 website. It looks like you would have some windows for independent activities. Arrival Day (which they consider day 2) you have no planned activities prior to 6 pm. Day 3, the day of the City Tour, it is a little ambiguous in the description of timings. It does say "the rest of the day is at leisure" so I imagine you would be safe for anything after 4 pm. You could always contact Gate 1 directly to confirm expected time. Anne Frank House is open until 11:00 pm. Day 4 looks a bit more complex as it involves embarkation. This wouldn't be my first choice day to try something else. Day 5 shows the morning completely free prior to sail-away in the afternoon. Anne Frank house opens at 9 am.
Have fun! This should be a great trip. Make sure you have the timing for getting Anne Frank tickets down. It can be challenging to get them.
