We are going to be in The Netherlands, with our tour ending 4.6.24. We will be extending our stay until 4.10.24 to travel in Friesland. Does anyone have any favorite towns or places they liked to stay in that area. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!

Google Groningen, Leeuwarden, Sneek to see if they interest you, and the Wadden islands at the very top of Friesland are great for wildlife and beaches. There’s lots of opportunity for sailing too.

We went to Friesland to visit my grandmother’s home town. Stayed in an AirB&B in Leeuwarden and enjoyed the town. My grandchildren’s favorite memory of that part of the trip is eating at a pancake restaurant in a boat, ‘T PannekoekSchip. In three days, we went there twice.
