Frans Hals Museum September Ticket Issue

Hello, I would like to visit the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem. I shall be there in September but when you go to buy tickets online September 1 through September 26 are blocked out. Any dates before or after are fine. Seems kind of strange. I have an email out to the museum but wondering if anyone already has any clarification or knows if there is a reason or if it's just a glitch with the website? Thanks.

The reply back from the museum said is it was a system glitch, and that the museum will be open. Just have to keep checking back to see if they have fixed the glitch.

The Frans Halsmuseum is not as busy as the Rijksmuseum and you can quite easily buy tickets at the museum itself especially since there are no fixed time slots. This seems to be hidden a bit on their FAQ page in the "Is it necessary to buy tickets in advance?" section at https://www.franshalsmuseum.nl/en/about/faq/),

Do be aware that the museum is closed on Mondays in case you are not able to book tickets online before your trip.

Just a FYI - I was there in September '22 and we just walked in and bought tickets. It was not at all crowded, so you may not need to commit yourself to pre-buying tickets.

I visited the Frans Hals museum earlier this month on a Saturday morning & did not pre-book the ticket. I got there when it opened & there was barely a wait to get a ticket. I was very impressed by this small museum & glad I was able to see it before doing to the the Hals exhibit at the Rijks later in the week as I felt it gave me a deeper background on Hals & his art...definitely watch the video at the beginning. Enjoy your visit!
