Food Tours in Amsterdam?

First time visit to Amsterdam in 3 weeks. Can anyone recommend a food tour you have personally used?

Thank you!

In 2019 we enjoyed the Jordaan walking tour with Amsterdam Food Tours.

Our guide was Dutch and gave us insights into culture as well as food. I do recall one stop where we received some special treats (compared to other food tours who visit there) because of the guide’s relationship with the shopkeeper.

We did the “Eating Amsterdam” tour in 2018. They are now back and running again in other cities ( we did Them in Rome twice and Prague) , so should be soon, if not already in Amsterdam. We really like it. Was a bit of a hike to get to the meeting spot and we seemed to have a lot of bread based samplers but it really showed the diversity and cultures of Amsterdam. I can highly recommend Eating Amsterdam Tours.

A few years ago, I had a meal with “Dine with the Dutch.” I have no idea if they are operating since COVID, but their website is working: https://dinewiththedutch.amsterdam/

This is not a food tour, but a lovely meal in a Dutch host’s home. The food was delicious and we had a lively conversation about life in the Netherlands. It also gave me the opportunity to get out of the tourist area and see a typical apartment.

They do need some notice to arrange the meal, so if you are interested, don’t wait till the last minute.
