Am planning a visit to Netherlands this April and the last day of our trip coincides with the flower parade on Saturday Apr. 20. I am wondering if one can drive and park anywhere along the route (which is posted on their website), rather than having to watch from one of their marked hotspots which look like it would be hard to get to (roads closed, limited parking), not to mention more crowded. If anyone has experience with this I would love to get your take and recommendation on where along the route (outside of the marked viewing spots) might be easiest to facilitate this. We are staying at a hotel at Schipol airport later that night to catch our flight the next day on Sunday. One option might be to catch the parade between Hillegom and Bennebroek in the late afternoon/early evening which would be quite close to Schipol. The other option is catching it earlier in the day somewhere along the route before it reaches Lisse/Keukenhof. Any insight and tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!
