Favorite hotel or rental in Amsterdam in Jordean or Museum areas?

I have narrowed my search down to these two areas. We will have four nights total. I am open to any cool rental or a nice hotel suggestion!

Thanks

I assume you mean the Jordaan neighborhood. I like the Quentin Arrive Hotel there. It's a 5-minute walk to Centraal Station where you can catch trams, and the immediate neighborhood itself is very nice.

This spring we rented from Prinx Studio Apartments. Our apartment near the train station is within the Jordaan area, I believe. They have another location near the museums where friends stayed a few months later and were pleased as well. Our place was immaculate, spacious and well equipped. Ton was cooperative and helpful and worked with us to accommodate our needs and schedule. It was our first apartment rental after many trips to Europe. It was a great experience and I would not hesitate to book with them when we next return to Amsterdam.

Last fall we stayed at the Best Western Leidse Square, on a quiet street between Leidseplein and the museums. It's a big place combining several older buildings, a little worn, but we were comfortable for six nights. Good breakfast for additional cost. We didn't much care for Leidseplein, but it was good to be close to the museums and Vondelpark. Good tram connections and close to canal boat ride starting point. Plenty of places to eat nearby, also the VVV (tourist office) for tickets, passes, and such. What it lacked in charm it made up for in convenience and the price was right.

I used to stay at Hotel MuseumZicht-- really close to the museums, obviously from the name. Old and not too many rooms.
