Fall activities in Amsterdam?

I’ll be in Amsterdam in a couple weeks. While I have most of my itinerary planned well-ahead, I do have a free day on Tuesday, September 25th. Are there any particularly Dutch must-do fall activities like there is in the Midwest, USA (i.e. going to an apple orchard, corn mazes, etc)? If not, is there a lot of fall colors like the trees here in Northern MN? If so, is there a tall building somewhere to see them best? Or a particularly pretty park to walk through? Any insight appreciated!

Vondelpark is the largest city park in Amsterdam. It's lovely, but I've never been in the fall.

There are of course fall colors in the Netherlands too, however September 25 is much too early. Given our latitude and climate, the leaves usually turn color in October and are at their most beautiful at the end of October and early November.

We'll be in AMS the Oct 28-Nov 9, which appears to be a great time for seeing the fall colors. Is there a particular place in AMS to go?
