Traveling to Amsterdam September 2017. We have the Pocket Amsterdam book with Map. I noticed that the EYE Film Institute is mentioned in the book, but is not included on the tear out map. Wondering if anyone has feedback on visiting this site and mostly wondering if it is worth the time? Thanks!
Whether the Eye is worthwhile or not depends on what's on offer at the time of your visit. The agenda is on their website.
It's easily reached from the Centraal Station: take the - free! - ferry from the rear side and then a 5- or 10-minute walk.
Be aware that the film center doesn't accept cash. At the box office only accept chip credit cards; not certain if chip&signature will work. My last visit to Amsterdam I saw a couple of screenings, purchased tickets here in the USvia their website , printed tickets at home.
EYE is an interesting building on itself. It has movie exhibitions that you might or might not like, and the temporary exhibitions as well. They have an excellent website that will show what is on at the time of your visit.
