Hi we’re traveling to Amsterdam next year and are looking to book a week at Dutch Masters apartment on Kaizergracht, I’m just wondering if anyone has had any experience or feedback about staying at this apartment or in this area? Thx!
I don't know the apartments, but Keizersgracht is one of the most attractive streets in Amsterdam. Top notch location.
Thx Gerry_M… it does look very nice and close to museums.
Would you describe the area as very busy or would there be quiet areas nearby? I’ve heard that the Leidseplein area is quite busy but I’m not sure how close we’ll be to that… I’m okay with some ‘exuberance’ in the day but not sure if I’d love it if it went on all night…
The Keizersgracht is almost 3 km’s long. Whether or not it’s a busy area depends entirely on where along these 3 km long street this apartment is located.
It's at Keizersgracht 580, which is between Leidsestraat and Nieuw Spiegelstraat.
Mostly small businesses and multi-million Euro private houses in this stretch. Not many bars or other noisy places after dark.
Leidsestraat is a main drag nearby, but it's far enough away not to bother you.
Leidseplein is a short walk, but again, far enough away that the night time revellers wouldn't disturb.
Really a great location to see Amsterdam from.
Thx GerryM and Dutch_traveller for the information. Yes that’s the correct address. I wasn’t sure if this is an establishment that anyone has stayed in? It looks to be in a very nice and quiet area and as mentioned is on Booking.com and other sites. Walking distance to everywhere especially for museums although it sounds like everywhere is walking distance in central Amsterdam…for our first stay this seems to check all of the boxes!
I'm just back from Amsterdam and stayed at Dutch Masters Apartment rental. We were there for 8 days. We were in Herman Brood apt. it was lovely apartment, very well equip, nice management and really wonderful quiet location. However it was torture trying to get any sleep at night. If you stay in that apt you will hear every footstep, door closing, ppl setting down shoes, and going up and down their patio stairs. It was just non stop at all hours. We are very seasoned travelers and you get noise sometimes that happens no big deal. This was however a whole different level. We actually left the last night to go to a hotel near the airport so we could get sleep before a long day of travel. We couldn't take it anymore and couldn't wait to leave. It really shot our vacation. My husband and I are still absolutely dumbstruck that there are no neg reviews in re to that apartment. Absolutely shocked.
Wow, so sorry to hear that it was so loud and thanks for sharing. We actually have already booked Dutch Masters for next year but in the upper suite (so we might be the ones disturbing the renters below but I’ll be mindful of our footsteps and door shutting at night). I’m glad to hear that the apartment is nicely equipped and in a good location though. Hopefully your feedback to the manager will help improve things by the time we go, although could be very different tenants then of course. I’ll let management know if the place becomes party central for sure. I do appreciate your information so we’ll be able to prepare. I’ll keep the noise cancelling earplugs (and Jenever) handy…thanks again for letting us know.
