My husband and I want to hire a driver and car (any age/condition car is acceptable) to take us from Schiphol Airport to the Kroller Muller April 23. Does anyone have any suggestions or contact information for such a service? Thank you. Sally Moxley in Richmond VA.
Are you planning to go directly upon arrival from the US? You are likely to be "zombies at the Kroller-Muller" if so. I love that museum and would hate to have it be a blur for you. This is the link if you haven't been to it -- http://krollermuller.nl/?lang=en.
Are you planning to have the driver wait while you visit and take you somewhere else? Spend the night in the area? There are other things to see around Arnhem.
From this little Rome2Rio search -- http://www.rome2rio.com/s/Amsterdam-Airport-AMS-Netherlands/Kr%C3%B6ller-M%C3%BCller-Museum -- it looks like driving would be the fastest way to get there if you can find someone to do that, but it certainly won't be the least expensive.
According to the visitor information at the website:
The museum is open to the public from Tuesday until Sunday (and public holidays) from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs. The sculpture garden closes at 16.30. The museum is closed on: Mondays (except public holidays) [and] 1 January. So if you go on 23 April and you get there early enough, it should be open.
I'm sorry I can't help with the driver thing. We rented a car for our trip to the Netherlands and Belgium in 2013, and the people we ran into in the area had either done the same thing or taken the train or bus.
