Delft to Bruges. Although the usual public transportation from Delft to Bruges is by train, it might be more interesting to make the trip by train-ferry-bus via the Vlissingen to Breskens ferry. Does anyone have any experience or advice on this route? How are the connections between train and ferry, and between ferry and bus?
It will take more time but to my opinion worth doing.
The entrance of the ferry terminal in Vlissingen is next to the railway station and the bus to Bruges, line 42 stops in front of the ferry terminal in Breskens and in Bruges at 't Zand and in front of the railway station. Both bus stops are close to the historic centre.
If the weather is fine you can certainly enjoy the half hour trip with the ferry. The train to Vlissingen stops in Goes and Middelburg, two places well worth visiting, especially Middelburg. The bus to Bruges stops in Sluis and Sint Anna ter Muiden, however the latter is really lovely but too small to walk around for an hour to take the next bus if that would be of interest.
In case the weather don't want to cooperate think it would be better taking the train only
