De Kas restaurant & nursery in Frankendael Park

Hello Amsterdam residents and Travellers,

What experience do you have eating here & visiting nursery?

We are a party of 5 with our mother (80s) in a wheelchair.

Is there a public garden to view?

Does restaurant offer a menu? Menu not visible on their website. We are visiting Amsterdam and your park on September 28-30th.

. If we take public transportation, is distance to push a wheelchair close to your restaurant?

. How much in euros lunch/person?
. Can we bring our luggage? We board an Amsterdam Viking boat in afternoon.
. How long is a normal lunchtime?

Thank you,

We had lunch at Restaurant De Kas in May this year. It was a wonderful experience! The food, service and atmosphere all amazing. We opted for the 3 course menu which turned out to be more like 6 courses with all the extras! Still remember the green gazpacho, the bread with herb butter, cauliflower tacos, turnips, salad, violet ice cream, and the cream puffs that come with coffee! All scrumptious! Lunch was 50 euros per person. Our total bill was 130 including wine and coffee. The gardens are really beautiful. Especially loved the individual garden plots with the tiny houses! We were probably at the restaurant an hour and a half, then a couple hours in the garden. We took an Uber there and the tram back. It is very spacious and would easily accommodate a wheelchair.

First things first; do you have a reservation? De Kas is extremely popular and is usually booked weeks or even months in advance. The next available opening for 5 persons is in October.
