Day trip from Amsterdam by Bike

I will be in Amsterdam for 1 day (I have been before) and want to go cycling outside of the city. What are some scenic routes that I could complete in under 6 hours? They can be round-trip or one-way (I'll hop a train back to the city).

All advice is greatly appreciated!

There is a "Waterland" loop north of the city. The TI should have maps, and/or bike shops where you rent your bike.

(I got lost. But still had a great time.)

If I recall correctly that Waterland ride is described in detail in the Lonely Planet book.

Thank you all! The Waterland is beautiful; I am thinking of doing it again.

If y'all have not, I HIGHLY recommend biking to Marken. Marken is touristy, but the bike ride is great. Take the IJ ferry to Buiksloterweg, then follow Buiksloterweg until you get to the country side. Straight shot. There is an eet café in one of the towns you pass through. It's easy to miss, but the food is great for hungry cyclists!
