NS is the national railway company of the Netherlands. At this moment there is no strike going on, nor is one planned. Can you please share your source that claims that NS staff are currently on strike?

Phil; the link you posted is about track works scheduled to start on November 13. The article doesn’t mention anything about a strike currently going on. When exactly will you be traveling?

Phil, I read your PM but I will answer you here. That way, others can read it too.

First and foremost let me repeat; there currently is no train strike in the Netherlands. There also are no plans to go on strike. Nor is there any reason to think a train strike might be imminent. The unions and NS have resolved their disagreements and reached a labor agreement.

However even without strikes, there can always be disruptions to the train service. For instance because of track works or because of an accident. The NS train planner will always show up to date information about trains. If a train is shown in the train planner, it will run. If a train won’t run because of scheduled track works or another reason, it will be greyed out in the NS train planner. During track works, the train planner will show a message about the track works. This message is shown also at trains that will still operate. So, this message doesn’t mean that that particular train won’t run. No it means that the particular train will still run despite the track works. You can find the train planner at the website of NS or in their app https://www.ns.nl/en
