  • Where do you want to sail from? Where do you live (it's a big planet)?
  • Do you have any preferences on where in Europe you want to sail to? You have posted this under Netherlands, will you only accept ships going there?
  • When is your "Summer Vacation". Mid July to end August, or what?
  • Are you going this year or summer 2020? For this year you may be too late to book.

Without more information your question cannot be answered.

Hi and welcome. Please keep in mind we are just travelers like you and not agents. Links to appropriate websites vary greatly from country to country. For example, MSC has a website, pricing and rules and regs for USA, Canada, UK and Europe - each different. It is most likely more appropriate and realistic for you to find a high street travel agent to help you with this. Or if you had access to a major 3rd party website like Expedia they offer cruises, so you can enter your dates and a port of departure and see what you get.

You've left it very late for booking a cruise for this summer. and severely restricted your choices by only sailing from the Netherlands. Either find a travel agent who specializes in cruises ( try googling this) or look at Cruise Critic. com. They have a "find a cruise tab. You'll need to use the advanced search option to enter your departure port. Best of luck.

A great site to answer your question is Vacations To Go. Use their Custom Search https://www.vacationstogo.com/custom.cfm and put in your parameters (you may have to register first). You can ask for cruises that only leave from Amsterdam or Rotterdam, and only for certain dates - very handy.

And yes, these days people book cruises as soon as they go on sale, 18 months out or so. Booking now for summer 2019, you may have to pay more, or settle for a cruise that is not your "ideal" ship or itinerary.

There are only a few cruisers on this Rick Steves website. You'll get more information on Cruise Critic, but it's difficult to navigate. Here is their British Isles/Western Europe Ports Forum, which includes Netherlands ports: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/148-british-isleswestern-europe/

On Vacations to Go, there is a 90-day ticker for cruises that have opening but are sailing within 90 days. If the ship isn’t full, you may be able to get quite a good deal on a cruise, as this is considered last minute. But be very careful about any visas you may need for your cruise. If the ship is stopping somewhere for which you don’t have the right visa, you could be denied boarding and lose your money.
