On October 14 we will be leaving Den Haag for the Brussels airport. We would like to see a relative from Nijmegen somewhere in between Den Haag along the train line back to Brussels. Are there any convenient stops for lunch?

Unless someone can suggest better, a good option to my idea is meeting in Breda. The direct train from Nijmegen takes 1h 10 min. But the highspeed Eurostar doesn’t stop there, you have to take the slower intercity train and means about a 45min. longer journey for you to Brussels Airport. The Eurostar departs from Rotterdam but needs more time to travel for your relative if you want to meet there.
Breda has a really nice historic center and certainly a good vibe and would be my preference to Rotterdam. For finding train schedules and buying tickets you can use the following websites:
