Combi Tickets Validity and usage for keukenhof

Hi All,

We are a group of 3 persons and will be reaching Amsterdam sloterdijk on 30th April 2017 in the evening.

I have booked a hotel near the keukenhof gardens and would be travelling to keukenhof from Amsterdam on 30th itself. I will be visitng the keukenhof garden the next day i.e. 1st of May and will leave for amsterdam sloterdijk on 1st May .

I have the following questions .

  1. I can see that there are combi tickets avaible for Keukenhof. Can i use the combi tickets to travel to keukenhof on 30th at around 7.30 PM ,Visit the garden on 1st May and leave Keukenhof by 5.30 PM ?
    Is it feasible ?

  2. Shall i buy seperate ticket for
    a. Amsterdam to Keukenhof transport ( 30th April 2017 )
    b. Keukenhof Park tickets ( 1st May )
    c. Keukenhof to Amsterdam transport ( 1st May 2017 )

  3. Where to store the luggage , as i have to travel back immidiately to Amsterdam . My hotel provides the facility and I have heard that the Gardens also have free lockers.

Regards,
Manish Rai

  1. I went March 2016. I would think that the combi ticket is only good for the day that you book to travel by bus or train to visit Keukenhoff. Because sometimes if you just show up without a ticket they won't let you in because it is too crowded.
But double check that with the people at keukenhoff

  2. a. You should buy separate transportation to your hotel located near Keukenhof once you confirm that the combi ticket is only good on the day you plan to visit.
    b. Buy a combi ticket if you plan to go back to Amsterdam from Keukenhoff after your visit on May 1st
    C. Buy a separate bus ticket from keukenhoff if you can not take that it might be cheaper than buying a combi ticket for a one way trip back to Amsterdam.

  3. Your luggage may be too big so leave it at the hotel. According to a traveler on Trip Advisor "The lockers at the keukenhof are small - the size of a daypack and there are not that many. I doubt if a carry on will fit. "

Not so. The lockers come in various sizes. The biggest ones will hold full size bags.
There are about 20 lockers in total. If you arrive early in a the day there will be space available, at midday the lockers could be all be full, so take that into consideration.

That is no longer the case.

A new reception center was opened this season, it is much larger than the previous portal and has some 120 lockers. It is a modern airy building with wooden fixtures and a sleek design. There is also a better organized waiting area for the buses, new toilets, a bigger gift shop etc.
