We are taking our 4 older kids (17, 22, 25, 28) to Amsterdam for Christmas. We will be spending 5 days from December 22 to December 27. Any suggestions on how to spend the holidays there? Special things to do/going on?

We were in Amsterdam after seeing the Christmas Markets in Austria & Germany and we were 'underwhelmed' with what Amsterdam had that was 'Christmas-y' in comparison to the Markets in Germany/Austria. We did LOVE Amsterdam, and we did stay in the heart of the old town area - but other than a few hanging lights, we didn't really see much. Now, we had just left the Markets, so we had our 'share' of Christmas, so we didn't google/search for Christmas in Amsterdam. We did enjoy a Canal Cruise and the Anne Frank House is one of the best things we have ever done in all of Europe. We also enjoyed a wine & cheese tasting at one of the many Gouda Shops.
