I can't really speak to Leiden yet, will be there in early May, but if you will be in Amsterdam, one of my favorite bars in the world is Proeflokaal Arendsnest. Wonderful little bar, on a canal, and they serve only Dutch Craft Beers, with maybe 50 on tap, and as many, probably more bottles. The bartenders and owner are all beer geeks, and it seems I always talk beer with them and other patrons when there
I will be doing most of a week, exploring Leiden, Den Haag, Rotterdam, and Utrecht for beer, as well as revisiting Haarlem and Amsterdam. If you find something interesting, update this post, for my sake and others.

Yes, we’ll be staying in Rotterdam for 6 nights in early June. Leiden is one of our day trips. Any updates will be appreciated.

Day trips: Delft and the Mauritshuis Museum in Den Haag.
Leiden restaurants: Dinner at the Engelenbak restaurant. For lunch or breakfast or snack: Giant pancakes at Oudt Leyden was fun.

We loved our week in Leiden! Best day trip is travel to Rotterdam and take a river boat to Kindedijk to see the 19 windmills. ! We also enjoyed day trips to The Hague and Delft.
