In the "Beyond Amsterdam" segment of radio program 638 (around the 45 minute mark), Rick and his guests discuss biking from Haarlem to Bloemendaal on the north sea coast through the Kennemerland national park. It sounds beautiful! An hour of biking through gentle greenspace full of deer and other animals, stopping for a drink and dinner on the beach, then biking back to Haarlem.
Has anyone tried this? If you have, what was your starting point in Haarlem and were you able to rent a bike that has an electric assist? One member of our group might find this bike ride challenging, even with the flat landscape.
