Best Transportation Method from AMS Airport to Hotel

Hello - My husband and I and our 14 yo Daughter will be arriving at AMS at 9:15am on a Monday (7/16). We will not be checking bags. Considering that it will be rush-hour, is there a 'best' transportation method? We are staying at the Ambassade Hotel in West Amsterdam.

I am going to be arriving at Schipol airport on Tuesday morning! I just assumed the train to centraal station is best way -but my daughter has used Uber a lot in Amsterdam-especially with 3 people-maybe best way-

You can use Uber of course.
We used the train/rail system to and from AMS.

It is a 20 minute ride to Centraal Station
The TI office across the street can give you the tram Number to the hotel.
Should be trams 1, 2 or 5.
Faster to go by public transport than car.
Have fun!

There is a dedicated hotel bus, van really, that can take you right to the hotel for 17.50 EUR pp.

But at that price for 3, a taxi might be cheaper.
Alternate is the 397 bus to Leidseplein, then by tram from there.

Thank you for your post and for the great replies.
I've only used Uber in the States. Does it work the same in Amsterdam. Could someone give me simple instructions, please? Traveling from airport to hotel and then hotel to airport.
Thank You!

Heidi

Ah - I didn't see that on my hotel's website - So silly of me not to check...Thanks so much.
Heidi - We are leaving tonight for Amsterdam - I'm not sure when you are traveling, but I'll be sure to post how it goes when I return.

Hi : I am going to Amsterdam on September 15th with my adult daughter. We are staying at the Mr. Jordaan Hotel in the Jordaan area. Do you still recommend an Uber from the airport? Janet

Update to my original post:

We ended up simply getting on the taxi line when we arrived in AMS. It felt 'safer' to us and was only a few euros. Jordaan is very close to where we stayed in West Amsterdam. I don't think you need to use Uber.
