We will be in Amsterdam May 4-8. We want to take a tour to Volendam, Marken, and the Windmills. Due to possible rain, we are wondering if we should wait until arrival to book. However, then we worry that all good tours might be fully booked. Dies anybody have a tour they can recommend that they’ve used for thus tour? Know of any that depart around late morning or noon?
Are the windmills you refer to at touristy Zaanse Schans? I wouldn’t bother to go there. Will you head farther south in The Netherlands? If so visit Kinderdijk near Rotterdam, 19 windmills still in their original locations.
Honestly, for a May trip, weather would be the least of my concerns. Unless there's a clear cancellations-allowed policy, I wouldn't pre-book anything at this point.
