Best Card for 3 Days in Amsterdam

We'll be in Amsterdam from around 10:00 hr. on Wednesday May 17 until around 15:00 hr. on Friday May 19. We'll use the trams, busses and water taxis heavily for one day of traveling about the city to visit some of the Contemporary Architecture venues, e.g., the Eastern Docklands, IJBurg, Zuidas, etc. We'll also take the #172 Bus to the Aalsmeer Flower Market. We plan visits to the Resistance Museum, Our Lord in the Attic, the NEMO Museum, EYE Museum, Maritime Museum and The Stedelijk Museum.

What "Card" will be the best value for the tree days? Thank you.

PS: If anyone has experience with the Concertgebouw, specifically showing up at the box office an hour before a performance to try and get "no show" ticket, let me know.

Hi Jon,

I gave you my experience re last minute tickets at the Concertgebouw back on Feb 26.

Do you need transportation one or two ways for the airport?

One way. Thanks for the reminder on the Concertgebouw, my only excuse is old-age.

The municipal transport company GVB has multi-day passes, among which a three-day pass which might fit your needs.
Check the regular entry prices for the museums you want to visit. The Museumkaart costs € 59,90 and gives you free entry to most, if not all of these. This is the list of the participating museums.

There is the Iamsterdam Card includes some museums and a 3-day GVB transport ticket. One thing that is not totally clear on the GVB transport ticket is the region of validity. I was there a month ago, and GVB has a contact page, but they were not at all responsive. It looks like some of your travel maybe outside of the standard tourist district, like the north side of Het IJ, Aalsmeer, East Docklands. There is also a regional ticket, the Amsterdam and Region travel ticket. 3-day for 33.50 EUR, would include everything including the airport.

You need to add up the cost of all the museums individually and compare to blanket museum pass or Iamsterdam touris card.

The Amsterdam Regional Travel Ticket looks appropriate. It we visit only the 5 museums I noted, the Museumkaart also makes sense. With the Museumkaart, does one wait in a queue to enter? Can the Amsterdam Regional Travel Ticket and the Museumkaart be purchased at Schiphol? As Sam noted, I can't find a geographic definition of the "region" that is included in the Amsterdam Regional Travel Ticket. I wonder if it might include the train to Utrecht? It's not a big deal if it doesn't, it would just be one less ticket to purchase.
