Best brown cafe in Amsterdam?

Hi, folks! One goal on my upcoming trip to Amsterdam is to finally sip some of that powerful Dutch genever, and I'd love to do it in a beautiful, historic "brown" cafe, I have no idea which is the best and Rick hasn't posted a favourite so I'm looking for suggestions.

Many thanks!

The Stud is a coffeeshop where you can buy and smoke weed. A coffeeshop is something completely different to a “brown cafe”. Not just because of the weed but also because by law, coffeeshops aren’t allowed to sell alcohol. So no jenever there!
A Dutch brown cafe is the equivalent of a pub. It’s a place where you can drink a beer and of course jenever and where you can eat typical Dutch cafe snacks like bitterballen. Brown cafes can be recognized by the fact that their name is written on the windows. There are plenty of brown cafes all over Amsterdam. This website lists some of them, but there are many more https://www.iamsterdam.com/en/see-and-do/eating-and-drinking/best-brown-bars
