Benelux - Germany Rail Pass

My husband and I will go to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in September.

We have a Benelux - Germany Rail Pass. How can we pass through the automatic/turnstile gates at train stations in Amsterdam and Brussels?

Thanks.

Stations in Europe generally do not have automatic turnstiles. Anybody can walk off the street and on to the platform and up to the train. Tickets ( or passes) are checked on the train as it is travelling between stations. If found on a train without a ticket expect a very large penalty fare (fine).
In the UK (where there are barriers), there is always a manned gate or somebody on duty for cases like people in wheelchairs who cannot use the automatic barriers.
