Benalux route Q; Amst. > Brussels ? Bruges > Paris

We have 8 days to travel from Amsterdam to Paris by public transport (ideally trains)

We'd like to stay 2 nights in both Brussels & Bruges, but which order would work best coming from Amsterdam and ultimately going to Paris?

Am I overthinking this because everything is so compact?

Thanks for helping me figure this out!

On your route, Bruges is the outlier. There are direct trains from Amsterdam to Paris via Brussels. To get to Bruges you need to switch trains in Belgium. So it doesn’t really matter if you do Amsterdam - Brussels - Bruges - Paris or Amsterdam - Bruges - Brussels - Paris.

When you book train tickets, make sure to only use the websites of the companies who operate the trains and forget about 3rd party ticket resellers. For international trains to and from Belgium: https://www.b-europe.com/EN
For domestic trains within Belgium; https://www.belgiantrain.be/en

Thanks for the train tips. I looked for activities by date in the two towns to see if that would help. I found a jazz concert that made me decide to go to Brussels first. A sign from the aether! Thanks for replying. I'm on to the train confusion next. I see there is an over-65 ticket that may help with the brussels > bruges and back parts of the trip.
Cheers. Christine
