Bed and Breakfast in Amsterdam

Hello!

We stayed at Herengracht 21 (one of Rick’s recommended places) in July and LOVED it. Unfortunately they are closed when we return to Amsterdam in December. Can anyone recommend a good bed and breakfast in Amsterdam. We much prefer Bed and Breakfasts over hotels but they are hard to find.

Thank you!

Not a BNB but on the Herengracht! We loved our stay at Hotel l'Ambassade, a series of merchant houses connected and restored as a hotel.

hey hey jonathondragon1
4 of us friends been to amsterdam twice, once in an apartment on prinsengracht and a houseboat on brouwersgracht in the joordan area. the site for prinsengracht has closed and houseboatrental.amsterdam has changed it's site i used couple years ago. not knowing you budget in euros, is "we" means 2, mobility issues if stairs.steps, what area/district, read fine print and cancellation policies.
here's a few places and sites to check out if something interestes you:
bookahouseboat.com/rentals/amsterdam
tulipofamsterdam.com
robsbnb.wixsite.com
airbnb.com/amsterdam/bnb's
see what they have and what the fees and taxes.
amsterdam-bedbreakfast.com
studio53amsterdam
getnetherlandshotels.com/lanestay damsquare amsterdam
booking.com/amsterdam
on left check your filters to bnb's and others if needed.
tripsavvy.com/amsterdam
scroll down to read up on lots to do and see, and of course you've been. may read on things you missed. we loved amsterdam
hope this gives you some ideas and you can find something. book early since december gets to be a busy month. in this time of so much travel everywhere, there does not seem to be an off season anymore. good luck and enjoy

Here's the B&B we loved in Amsterdam in 2017: https://www.ostadebb.com/ Yes, B&Bs are hard to find there, but apartments, which we prefer to stay in, are even harder. So, one of the many things we liked about this B&B is that it is more like a great apartment but with tons of yummy food in the refrigerator and in the kitchen. Really, enough for breakfast AND lunch, if you want. The hosts are great and so is the neighborhood.

Jonathon, in case Nancy doesn't see this, the B&B she recommended is located in the De Pijp neighborhood. I stayed there myself for a week and a half when I was in Amsterdam, and loved that neighborhood! There are so many great eateries and cafes there, with wonderful ethnic food. It's more of a residential area and is considered very hip. The Albert de Cuyp market is there, which is a must-see, and there is a lovely park right in the middle.

I stayed in an AirBnb on Sarphatipark, and was a half block from a tram stop that got me everywhere within minutes. The museums were about 10 minutes away via tram, and everything else was easily reachable. I highly recommend this area to stay in.

We stayed a week at the Nadia Hotel, near the Anne Frank House. It cost us $1000 for 7 days with a good free breakfast.
It is a walkup with the typical Amsterdam steep stairs. Rooms are small, but bath facilities are good.
