Suggestions for a BB in Amsterdam, August 4 to August 9th, 2016. We are not having much luck with the new Rick Steves book. A few sites are not functioning online or are just not found. We are interested in Sunhead of 1617 Canal House Inn but the link does not work. Anyone familiar with this place? Thanks in advance.

Hi we tried to book at that place for later in August and was email back that they are no longer operating.

Marcel is a charming artist of 80 years. He has run this Bed without Breakfast for over 40 years. While you do not get breakfast, only coffee, you can obtain free movie tickets to one of the oldest movie houses in Europe. His place is not for everyone, but after checking out his website and deciding if his place is for you, you'll never forget meeting Marcel, perhaps climbing through a roof hatch to his garden, enjoying his latest paintings or entering the movie house through his apartment closet.
