On an Avalon cruise, has anyone taken the optional excursion from Amsterdam called “Windmills, canals & cheese of the Netherlands”?
It mentions the Beemster Polder. My question is – do you actually go to the Beemster Polder and if so, do you get to see the cheese making process there and can you buy Beemster cheese there?
Can you tell me anything else about what you did on that excursion?

I had checked with them via email with the question, but they said they did not have details on that excursion yet since my cruise is a ways out - it seemed like a canned response.
I now just asked the same question via chat and it seems they did a little more research and replied:
So for your departure, they have not released the full excursion details yet. That typically happens 90 days prior to departure. For a previous departure though, that excursion did include a visit to a local cheese farm, the cheese crafting demonstration, and an opportunity to purchase items.
