April - only 1 night in Amsterdam

We will have 1 night in Amsterdam before we board our Viking cruise ship. We arrive at the airport at 9:20 am. What time can we safely buy tickets for the Anne Frank house on arrival day? 1:00? We need to drop our luggage at our hotel (near Amstelpark) on the way to the Anne Frank house.

The tentative plan - energy permitting after an overnight flight from the US - is to see the Anne Frank house, Van Gogh museum, and maybe the Red Light District on Friday, Keukenhogf Gardens and Rijksmuseum on Saturday (we have to run our luggage to the ship before we start sightseeing). Tulip day I think is Saturday, any suggestions for seeing the sights and avoiding the crowds? Are we missing any of the highlights of the Amsterdam?

energy permitting
You are overambitious and not allowing yourself to enjoy the city itself, which is the highlight which you are missing with running from one »must-see« to another. Have the Anne Frank Huis and the Van Gogh Museum for the Saturday, and limit the Friday afternoon to the Rijksmuseum and wandering around. The Keukenhof will take the best part of a day, for which you have no time and will at its best be a rushed tour.

It seems to be a recently (in 2014) introduced event »to mark the start of the tulip season«. Free tulips on the Dam and this year held on 20th January.
