Looking for an apartment in Amsterdam- traveling with my daughter (27). I will stay with her in Amsterdam for 4 nights then she stays on for another 7 nights- so need total of 11 nights. Having a hard time finding "affordable" apartments that would work for 2 people.
I am OK with a sofa/sofa bed for my 4 nights.
Have looked at airbnb, vrbo/homeaway etc - just not seeing anything suitable- would like to be central- Jordaan neighborhood if possible- but I think we will need to increase our budget. Would like to keep it around or under $100 a night but that doesn't look likely to me right now!

just a comment. realize that 100 USD is about 70 Euros. Its getting better, but you may have to wait longer. Also, is that 100 USD per night for both or for one?

Frederics Bikes and Accomodation might have something in your price range. Recommended by Rick Steves. Have a variety of apartments, houseboats and single rooms. You can also rent bikes from them. Central and great hosts.

Christine..we are visiting Amsterdam in April 2015 and booked a canal apartment on VRBO. Take a look at listing #378585 via the website.The reviews are very positive and our email interaction with the owner have been amazing. We look forward to our stay ...happy travels. Teressa
