Anyone familiar with Dikker & Thijs Hotel in Amsterdam

I have read so many mixed reviews, location great but....noisy, street construction, rooms need updating, leaking ceilings. anyone know anything about this hotel?

Cannot comment on the hotel, specifically, but the location is quite good and right near his Jordaan and Amsterdam walks, which might be why this hotel is being booked. It might be noisy but it is also a picturesque part of town. We really liked this part of town.

Thank you, location is important, love to hear from anyone that has stayed there. I can't imagine Rick Steves tours would put his group in a hotel with ongoing construction outside...
