Anniversary in Amsterdam

My husband and I are traveling to Amsterdam for our 17-year wedding anniversary in mid-October. Can anyone recommend any romantic daytime activities or moderately priced restaurants to celebrate our day? Thanks!

How about a canal tour? Maybe more 'romantic' in the evening though.
