The best way is always to buy the tickets directly from the venue itself and not from a 3rd party. Tickets for the Anne Frank house can only be bought via the website of the Anne Frank organization. Any other website that sells tickets is either a scam or is deliberately breaking the terms & conditions of the Anne Frank house. Tickets for the Anne Frank house go on sale 6 weeks in advance on Tuesday 10 am local time and sell out fast.

I just bought my tickets recently directly from the Anne Frank House website. Very easy. They post the tickets 6 weeks ahead for an entire week from Saturday to Sunday on Tuesday at 10am Amsterdam local time. All of those tickets seem to sell out by the end of ticket Tuesday. My time in Amsterdam will be over 2 weeks of their ticket drops and we would be able to tour Friday to Tuesday. I wasn't thinking it through and neglected that the tickets I might want went over 2 week ticket drops. It all worked out fine since I just got the tickets for a later time in our trip.

Not to be daft, but if I'm there from a Fri-Mon, go online 6 weeks before that on the Tuesday?

ex: for tix Sat 9/25, get online 8/11?

@ashley - I can't remember exactly what the calendar cut-offs were, but what I did was a TEST run in the days leading up to my ticket buy. That got me familiar with both the actual release dates of tickets and the PROCESS to do it. I then set an alarm to get up early (East Coast US vs Netherlands time) and make the buy to fit our plans. Tons of slots were open at that point, but it made my life less stressful not missing the tickets a second time through.

FTR - we got the pre-entry presentation plus the tickets to the house itself. We also tied it to seeing the Dutch Resistance Museum and the Corrie Ten Boom house as well a reread of Anne's diary. All those were well worth it and really round out the situation in the Netherlands at the time and sheer horror of it across so many facets of life.

Sometimes the availability is 6.5 weeks ahead, since the ticket drop is a Tuesday. We found the evening tour works great, and the evening tickets are usually easier to get. Daylight hours are long. Good luck!

The tickets are released once a week for the entire week 6 weeks later. Because of this, the easiest way to determine when the tickets for your date become available is to use week numbers.
September 25 is in calendar week #39. This means that tickets will be released on the Tuesday of week #33, which is August 11.
