I was hoping to do an optional tour to Anne Frank house which was recently cancelled. In place of this is an optional trip to Volendam. Has anyone been there before? I'm really leaning towards Anne Frank if I can still get tickets ahead of time. We're just nervous about getting back to our hotel on our own using the tram.

You will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to navigate around Amsterdam! Your hotel may even be within walking distance from the hotel. As Harold said, if you don't mind sharing your hotel, we will be happy to provide you with detailed directions. The Anne Frank House is definitely worth a visit!

Thank you for your quick response. I printed walking directions from our hotel to Anne Frank. Was wondering if you sign up for 30 min. Talk plus tour after the 3:00 time if it is more crowded than the morning times when you can only get in if you bought your ticket on line?

The Anne Frank house is a can't miss. I wouldn't worry about navigating the tram. If you find it to be difficult, you can always ask someone. Worst case scenario is that you get lost temporarily, but that always makes for a good story when you return home.
