Amsterdam travel with 4 and 7 year old kids

I'm planning a train trip from Berlin to Amsterdam over my grandkids' Spring break. What are your suggestions for things to engage two little girls? We will have 4 days in the city.

Absolutely NEMO. I've been several times when my kids were younger. It has a roof-top deck that has a terrific 360 view of the port and city and also has fountains for the kids if they want to get wet, and has a cafe and bar.

A polite warning: Keep a firm hold on the young one's hand anywhere near the bicycle
lanes on city streets. These are traversed by kamikazi riders who can't stop if someone steps onto their pavement. Amsterdam gives the trollies first right-of-way (who can argue with their weight?) Pedestrians are firmly placed third.

Definitely limit the children to half a space cake.

Kidding. Canal tour boats always seemed to make my girl happy when she was little.
