Hey, i’m going to amsterdam this weekend and will be staying in the rembrandt park area, what is the easiest way to travel from the airport to the area and from Rembrandtpark to the city? (what travel card would be best)

If by Rembrandtpark you are referring to the Rembrandtplein, you are in the heart of the city, kinda like the Times Square of Amsterdam. You can take the train to Amsterdam Centraal, then the tram to Rembrandtplein. The No 4 or No 14 tram if I remember rightly.

Given that the OP uses the word Rembrandtpark twice, I gather that they actually mean RembrandtPARK and not RembrandtPLEIN. Rembrandtpark isn’t anywhere near Rembrandtplein, so the way to get there from the airport is completely different.

The easiest way to find out how to get from A to B in Amsterdam, is to use Google maps. It will give you directions for public transport as well as walking directions etc. Exact directions depend on where exactly you will be staying.

What kind of travelcard would be best depends on how many public transport trips you plan to take.

For what sounds like a weekend, it would probably be easier to just use "tap to Pay" to get where you want to go. Just tap your credit card to start and end your journey, and you pay one of the lowest fares for that route (compared to buying a ticket from a machine or counter). Most stations in the Netherlands have turnstile type gates to go through, but be warned at the airport, you need to seek out the "tap" payment posts, no gates. You might find your self trying to get out of a station without having tapped in. The same payment system is used across trains, trams, buses, and subway/metro.

I agree Google Maps does a good job of getting you around, showing the tram and bus options.

If you share the name of your hotel/lodging, you can get better help with suggested transport, "Rembrandtpark area" describes a pretty large area, depending on exactly where might mean approaching from Amsterdam Zuid, from Sloterdijk station to the North, or possibly Centraal.

That hotel is on the North side of the park. Looks like most solutions suggest taking just about any regional train heading into Centraal that also stops at Sloterdijk train station. Leave the station and there is a bus station just outside, catch the #15 bus. There are also options using the Lelylaan station and the #18 bus, maybe a bit less walking. Fewer trains stop at Lelylaan compared to Sloterdijk. You can use Google Maps or the NS Train app to find the right trains.

For getting into Central Amsterdam, it looks like the #13 Tram will be handy from the hotel and back.
