Amsterdam trams, teen/student discount?

I only see special prices for kids 11 and under. Anyone know if teens (13 & 16) pay adult fair?

Dankjewel!

you may be interested in the Amsterdam Travel Ticket bought from the Schiphol Train station.
For 25 euros includes 3days of unlimited Amsterdam public transportation trams, buses, metro, ferries
All Amsterdam train stations which also includes Schiphol to Amsterdam. If you are just in Amsterdam it may be the way to go. Find the information at NS.NL
The Netherlands is the most tourist unfriendly with their public transportation with their OV-Chipcard system. I just returned and have an anonymous chip card. It cost 7.5 e just to get started, you must maintain 20 e to ride the train. I had to purchase a daily paper train only ticket for my granddaughter for 2.5 euro, waste of time. The bus in Utrecht was full price or by her an anonymous and pay the adult fare too.

Amsterdam used to have the Strippenkarte which allowed tourists to purchase just the rides they need, they have moved to day passes and such which are a major rip off since to enjoy Amsterdam most people walk for the most part. so the occasional tram ride becomes very pricey. As others have noted 12 and up pay full fare if not locals with student passes. Similar in Paris although there they have weekend passes for teens that are half price.
